Audition skills are a critical tool in the actor's toolbox. Like it or not, every actor is going to have to audition. And, like scene study, it is a skill that requires a tremendous amount of talent and practice. Our audition classes are designed to give the actor all the techniques and secrets necessary to make the script personal, unique and dynamic. This class will help you walk into a casting directors office, nail the read and leave knowing you did the best you could.

IN THIS CLASS YOU'LL LEARN:

Part 1 - Breaking Down a Script

The first step in any audition is to dig deeply into the sides (script) and get to know the part intimately. We'll show you how to look for all the intellectual clues and emotional triggers in order to bring to role alive

Part 2 -  Reading In The Room

Lee Strasburg used to say, "A great audition is all about preparation." This class will teach you everything you need to know to deliver a rock star read to the room..

Part 3 -  Putting It On Camera

With so many self-tapes going on these days and producer sessions done "on tape" nothing benefits an actor more than knowing how to do a great audition for the camera. This class teaches you how to do that.

Being "yourself" in an audition is the goal!

 Every actor will be expected to prepare their reading fully prepared as if they were auditioning for the role that day. Actors are encouraged to bring their self-tape auditions to class, both for learning purposes and for a professional recording.
